Customer Reviews

Very easy to use services Review by JohnstonT
The main function of the E5830 is to work as a mobile hotspot that shares a 3G connection with the wifi clients that connect to it. To setup the modem you insert your SIM card in the slot under the battery, make sure to write down the SSID and Wifikey it will use the first time. Replace the battery and the backcover and turn it on by pressing the On/Off button until the lights start to burn (Posted on 7/6/11)
Excellent device Review by IanForsey
I purchased Huawei E5830 a week ago. Excellent device, Works well, stays connected and reconnects in and out of bad areas, with in the time before standby kicks in.
In Devon I have not seen greater than 1mb/s down and up is around 30/40 Kb/s Average down is around 300Kb/s to 500kb/s.

Best device Review by Adiar
I got Huawei E5830 Router a month ago. It is easy to use. Primary use is to allow mxy iPad WiFi to get to the internet. It is quite a cheap solution compared to buying iPad 3G, plus a chance to share the connection with friends or just other devices I have. (Posted on 6/13/11)
Nice but battery life little short Review by Bryan Mor Mani
I got my Huawei E5830 Router free under 24-month contract with one of the internet provider here in the Philippines. After 5 days of average daily use, I returned it as it would not work long enough. It was always noticeably warm. Good thing, they gave me a replacement.

Despite of the above, I still find this devise good, cheap (in terms of price) and very convenient to use. The only negative thing that I must warn everyone who wants to get one, this devise can only work for up to 4 hours. Apart from this, it easily gets warm. (Posted on 6/1/11)
